Not much to report for Sunday. We went to church at Washington International Church and it was a great homecoming as always. We enjoyed worship, caught up many old friends (and a few new ones), and were treated to Booeymonger sandwiches by Mama Wong. This was our first chance during our whole visit to get a chance to chat with Mama Wong, though Pastor unfortunately had other committments so we talked to him for just a bit right before we left.
We didn’t actually leave DC until nearly 4 pm. We got on I-66 west and headed in the direction of Blacksburg. We were impressed that it only took us about four hours to get there, and the traffic wasn’t bad.
When we got to Ryan and Elyn’s house, they and their new puppy, Emma, were awaiting our arrival. We got a tour of their spacious house (two stories with a deck in the back and a two car garage, 3 BD & 2.5 BA) and then had grilled quesadillas for dinner. We hung out talking for a while, watched a bit of TV, then went to bed.
